We just returned from our first overseas mission trip.
On July 30 we traveled to the United Kingdom and served with members of Bury St Edmunds Presbyterian Church in their first summer Bible club for children in the community.
Over the course of the week, nearly 60 children from the community attended the Bible club. They participated in crafts, sang songs, and learned Bible stories. More importantly, they heard the Gospel message of salvation through the life, death, and resurrection of the Son of God.
After lunch we played soccer (futbol) with kids in the community. It was a time for exercise, competition, and recreation. Furthermore, we shared the message of Jesus Christ with the kids and teenagers who played soccer with us.
Finally, each evening we enjoyed a free community meal hosted by the church. The meal was fantastic and attendance grew to over 140 individuals. During the meal Rev. Jolley shared a brief message about redemption through Jesus Christ.
Looking back at our trip, we are thankful that God provided for all our needs on the trip. Moreover, many adults and children heard the Gospel message during our week in Bury St. Edmunds and we pray that we will continue to receive positive reports in the weeks ahead.
Thanks to each of you who made this trip possible by supporting us and for those of you who pray for us daily.
We are excited about what God has done through our service in the United Kingdom and look forward to his blessing on our ministry here in Mt. Pleasant.
