The glory of God the Creator is seen in nature, while the grace of God the Redeemer is found in Scripture.
What is seen of God in creation should lead us to a desire to know him personally through reading and hearing him in the Word of God.
It is there, on the pages of the Bible, where men, women, and children encounter the full revelation of who God is by discovering the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Reformer John Calvin wrote, "The knoweldge of God set forth for us in Scripture is destined for the very same goal as the knowledge whose imprint shines in his creatures, in that it invites us first to fear God, then to trust him."
Enjoying the beauty of God's creation in Mt. Pleasant leads us to appreciate his eternal glory. It should also direct us to know his gracious plan of salvation revealed on the pages of his Word.
